Scheduled Prompts
Automate recurring AI tasks with scheduled prompt execution.
Overview
Scheduled prompts let you run prompt templates on a recurring schedule. The AI executes your prompt automatically and sends you a notification with the results. You can view the full AI session, continue the conversation, or just read the summary.
Setting Up a Schedule
To schedule a prompt, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Chat > Templates and open or create a prompt template
- Toggle the Schedule switch in the template editor
- Choose a frequency preset (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) or enter a custom cron expression
- Select your timezone and save the template
Frequency Options
Choose from built-in presets or define a custom schedule:
- Daily at 8 AM — runs every morning
- Weekly on Monday at 9 AM — perfect for weekly reviews
- Monthly on the 1st at 8 AM — for end-of-month summaries
- Custom cron expression — any schedule with a minimum interval of 1 hour
Example Use Cases
Here are some popular ways to use scheduled prompts:
- Daily briefing — get a summary of your tasks, priorities, and calendar
- Weekly review — analyze completed tasks, blockers, and plan next week
- Monthly budget check — review spending patterns and flag unusual expenses
Security & Limits
Scheduled prompts run with safety constraints to protect your data:
- Maximum 5 active schedules per user
- Minimum execution interval of 1 hour
- Dangerous actions (deletions, modifications) are blocked by default — enable per-template
- Tool usage capped at 20 tool calls per execution
- 5-minute timeout per execution to prevent runaway operations
Notifications
After each scheduled execution, you receive a notification with the result summary and a link to the full AI session. If your scheduled prompts haven't been reviewed in 14+ days, you'll get a gentle reminder to check your scheduler settings.
