Track how you use AsyncLife, understand your included allocation, and monitor costs.
Overview
The Usage page gives you a clear picture of how you're using AsyncLife. It tracks every dimension — messages sent, tasks created, AI tokens consumed, and more — so you always know where you stand relative to your included allocation and any billable overuse.
Date Range Picker
Control which time period you're looking at. The date range picker sits at the top of the page and lets you quickly switch between common periods or define your own.
- Choose from preset ranges like Today, Last 7 Days, This Month, Last Month, or This Year for quick access to the most common views.
- Need a specific window? Open the calendar picker and select your start and end dates manually.
- The selected range applies to both the chart and the breakdown table, so everything stays in sync.
Count vs. Cost View
Toggle between two perspectives using the buttons in the top-right corner of the page.
Count View
Shows raw usage numbers — how many messages, tasks, tokens, etc. you've used. Great for understanding volume.
Cost View
Shows the monetary value of your usage in cents. Useful for understanding billing impact and identifying where costs come from.
Usage Over Time Chart
The stacked bar chart visualizes your daily usage over the selected date range. Each bar represents one day, with segments stacked by dimension or app.
Switch between grouping by Dimension (message, token, task, etc.) or by App (chat, tasks, notes, etc.) to see your usage from different angles.
Hover over any bar segment to see the exact count or cost for that dimension on that day.
Detailed Breakdown Table
Below the chart, a table breaks down your usage by app and dimension for the selected period. Each row shows:
App name, dimension, total used, included allocation, billable amount (used minus included), and cost. Use this to identify exactly where overuse occurs.
Included Allocation
Every plan includes an allocation for each usage dimension. This is the amount you can use each month at no extra cost.
Allocations vary by dimension — for example, you might get a certain number of AI tokens, messages, or task operations included in your plan.
When your usage exceeds the included allocation for a dimension, the surplus becomes billable. The breakdown table shows exactly how much of each dimension is included vs. billable.
Tips
- Check regularly — Visit the usage page periodically to stay on top of your consumption patterns.
- Use the cost view — Switch to cost view to understand the financial impact of your usage. It helps identify which dimensions contribute most to your bill.
- Adjust the date range — Compare different periods to spot trends. For example, compare this month to last month to see if usage is growing.
